SOMERSET, NJ – November 6, 2007— Catalent Pharma Solutions, one of the leading providers of advanced dose form and packaging technologies as well as development, manufacturing and packaging services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer healthcare companies, announced the appointments of Tracy Tsuetaki as group president of Packaging Services and Samrat (Sam) Khichi as senior vice president and general counsel.
Tsuetaki comes to Catalent with strong strategic and operational experience as well as functional breadth and depth in outsourced services gained from his many years in the pharmaceutical industry. He joins the organization from Quintiles Transnational Corp. where he was president of Quintiles’ Medical Communications and Consulting Group, accountable for worldwide profit and loss for the business. Prior to that, he was Quintiles’ senior vice president for global business development, responsible for global sales and marketing. Tsuetaki’s broad experience includes positions as senior vice president for strategic planning and consulting for Kaiser Permanente and as an account executive with Ernst & Young’s management consulting group where he focused on the life science industry. Tsuetaki holds an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg Graduate School of Management. He also has a doctorate in optometry and a M.S. in physiological optics from the University of California at Berkeley, and a B.S. in nutritional science from the University of California at Davis.
Khichi joins Catalent from the international law firm of O’Melveny & Myers LLP, where he was counsel in the New York office representing both public and private companies in mergers, acquisitions, joint ventures and divestitures. Previous experience includes serving as a White House Fellow in Washington, D.C., as well as a mergers and acquisitions associate with two other international law firms, Shearman & Sterling and McDermott, Will & Emery. Khichi, who served as an artillery officer in the United States Army, holds a B.S. in business administration from Georgetown University and a J.D. from Fordham University School of Law.
