Catalent celebrates the 30th anniversary of its production facility in Limoges

SOMERSET, NJ – DECEMBER 18, 2007 – Catalent Pharma Solutions, one of the leading providers of advanced dose form and packaging technologies as well as development, manufacturing and packaging services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer healthcare companies, is celebrating 30 years of production at its facility in Limoges, France.

The Limoges production site covers 10,000 m² and employs over 144 qualified people. It produces over 40 million units a year and today, the facility primarily manufactures:

  • Pouches of solutions for the conservation of organs and the intravenous feeding of children and premature babies and contrast products for radiography.
  • Syringes ready-filled with low molecular weight heparins.
  • Syringes of gel for filling wrinkles.


In addition to these activities, the Limoges site also undertakes the secondary packaging of syringes of anti-flu vaccines. The strength of its specialist knowledge and skill in sterilization and aseptic procedures has meant that the Limoges facility has become a reliable asset in the sphere of pharmaceutical technologies.
