70 20 10

We follow the 70/20/10 approach for career development that enables individuals to meet their unique development needs by taking a blended approach to learning and development:

  • Experience (70%) – Employees are encouraged to participate on project teams, take on more responsibilities, and look for special, short-term assignments to broaden their expertise.
  • Exposure (20%) – Establish a mentoring relationship; shadow someone in a job that interests you
  • Education (10%) – Attend training and workshops to further develop your current skills or conduct research in an area of interest

Additionally, Catalent practices the following:

  • Annual goal-setting - Clear goals set for employees to ensure alignment with our business objectives, using SMART goals (Specific, Measureable, Actionable, Realistic & Time bound)
  • Feedback & coaching - Biannual performance review process and continuous feedback for all employees 
  • Personal development and career planning - Employees are encouraged to have development discussions periodically throughout the year and set a plan with their manager for a path to success
  • Talent review - Global talent reviews that identify and develop the next generation of Catalent leaders
