Specialty polymers are increasingly becoming a significant component of the pharmaceutical industry. Some of the many applications include dissolution enhancers, film coatings, tablet binders, ophthalmic solutions and solubility enhancers for solid dispersions. Because of their growing significance, a need to fully characterize these materials for structure and purity has emerged. Therefore, we propose the application of NMR spectroscopy to meet this growing need.
