Catalent to Discuss Clinical Supply Chain Solutions at DIA 2016 Conference

Somerset, N.J., – June 23, 2016 — Catalent Pharma Solutions, the leading global provider of advanced delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics and consumer health products, today announced that Eric Valentine, Global Director, Clinical Distribution Services, has been invited by Tufts University to contribute to a roundtable discussion at the upcoming DIA 2016 Annual Meeting, to be held at the Pennsylvania Convention Center, Philadelphia, on June 26th – 30th 2016.

The session, chaired by Mary Jo Lamberti, from the Tufts Center for the Study of Drug Development at Tufts University School of Medicine, takes place on Tuesday June 28th, at 2.00 p.m., and will discuss a recent study conducted by the Center which gathered metrics on the impact of clinical supply logistics on global studies among 14 biopharmaceutical, CRO, and provider companies.

Mr. Valentine will be one of the experts on the panel who will review the study and discuss the strategies that companies use to optimize distribution networks, and give insight into shipping practices and approaches to investigational drugs and supplies, as well as identifying performance indicators for successful distribution strategies.

Mr. Valentine is responsible for developing the facility network and logistics strategies in support of Catalent’s Clinical Supply Services business. He has a background that includes 20 years’ experience serving in leadership positions in the CRO and drug development services industries. Mr. Valentine holds an MBA in Finance from Seton Hall University, New Jersey, and a B.A. in Business Administration from the University of Vermont.
