Catalent Leaders Present at Process Excellence Week, LondonCompany Receives Two PEX Network European Awards Nominations
Somerset, NJ – April 23, 2013 — Two Catalent leaders will present, host a workshop, and take part in discussions on various aspects of continuous improvement, at the PEX Process Excellence Week Europe which runs from 29th April to 1st May 2013 in London, UK.
On April 29, Mr. Dennis Narlock, Global Operational Excellence Leader at Catalent, will lead a workshop entitled “Introduction to Taming Tigers – transitioning industries from Aviation Maintenance to Biotech”. The workshop will introduce the ‘10 Rules for Taming Tigers’, developed by Jim Lawless, a methodology that aims to provide individuals and collaborative team leaders with the tools to overcome challenges and achieve operational excellence.
The following day, Mr. Sridhar Krishnan, Vice President, Global Operations, will take part in the exclusive, invitation only, “Corporate Leaders Boardroom” where, alongside senior process and technology practitioners, he will discuss the issues that matter most in guaranteeing a successful process strategy, tapping into the factors deemed to matter most to key stakeholders, and exploring strategies that deliver tangible competitive advantage.
On Wednesday May 1, 2013 Mr. Krishnan and Mr. Narlock, will co-host a workshop entitled “Reliably Supplied: – Aligning the Organization with the Success of the Customer”. Participants will learn how aligning operations with the customer’s requirements to be reliably supplied can facilitate strategic alignment and flow through to tactical actions throughout all functional areas.
Catalent Pharma Solutions has also been shortlisted to win two Process Excellence Awards in the categories for "Best Business Process Improvement Programme Over 2 Years" and "Best Process Improvement Project Over 90 days."
In the first of these categories, Catalent’s nomination focused on its corporate Continuous Improvement management initiative, which is applied throughout the organisation up to CEO level, to set performance standards, track key performance indicators and manage every aspect of improving operations across all sites consistently. In the second, Catalent’s nomination was for its Bolton, UK, clinical storage facility, where improved utilization has realised additional space and led to the introduction of further best practices.
Process Excellence Week will be held at Central Hall, Westminster, London, UK, with interactive workshops commencing on Monday, April 29. The conference begins on April 29 and continues the following day. The European Awards winners will be announced at an Awards Ceremony on 30th April 2013 in London.
