Catalent Expert To Present On Global Cold Chain Clinical Supply Strategies

Somerset, N.J., – June 7, 2016 — Catalent Pharma Solutions, the leading global provider of advanced delivery technologies and development solutions for drugs, biologics, consumer health products and animal health products, today announced that Rognvald Lamb, Global Transportation Manager, will present at the upcoming Clinical Trial Supply Nordics Conference, to be held at the Crowne Plaza Copenhagen Towers Hotel, Copenhagen, Denmark, on June 14th – 15th 2016.

Mr. Lamb’s presentation, on Tuesday June 14th, at 11.15 a.m., is entitled “Driving Cold Chain Supply Network Integration Through Strategic Partnering,” and will discuss how the growing demand for global cold chain supply capabilities requires successful partnerships between multiple organizations. He will highlight key considerations when looking to develop integrated supply chain solutions in support of clinical trials, including the identification of strategic geographic areas for supply chain investment. In addition, Mr. Lamb will discuss how technology and the increasing complexity of clinical trials are leading to a new demand-led clinical supply chain model.

Mr. Lamb has nearly 30 years of distribution and logistics experience across a broad range of industries. For the past 14 years he has worked in the pharmaceutical industry applying his customs, distribution and logistics expertise to the clinical trial supply chain for a number of global companies including Quintiles, Marken, and Fisher Clinical Services before joining Catalent as Global Transportation Manager in 2015.

His career has allowed him to build up in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience of operating and importing into the less developed countries, and with the ability to appreciate and conform to global customs requirements from 8 years’ experience as a UK Customs & Excise Officer.
