Statement from John Chiminski, Chairman & CEO, on Recent Events in the U.S.

We are all deeply affected by the senseless death of George Floyd, and we stand with those who seek a world without bias or discrimination. It is a further tragedy that this event should occur in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, which has disproportionately impacted minority communities.

I stand united with my entire executive leadership team in saying that we at Catalent will continue to put our hearts into making our communities better on both fronts—through our programs promoting diversity & inclusion and corporate responsibility, and through our efforts in helping to make vaccines and treatments to fight the virus.

Catalent does not tolerate any form of discrimination—racial or otherwise. We value all people and are committed to strengthening our company as a diverse, inclusive workplace. We are indebted to our employee resource groups, many of them newly formed, who are supporting candid conversations across our company on these issues.

Diversity is a catalyst to innovation, a cornerstone to our company. Trust, respect, and empathy go hand in hand with diversity and are key elements for success. These qualities are essential to fulfilling our mission of helping people live better, healthier lives.

We strive to provide a safe, healthy, and inclusive working environment—one where everyone feels welcomed, heard, and respected. We encourage our employees to develop their talent and help us fulfill our purpose. The uniqueness of every employee enables us to not only realize our mission but find solutions for our customers and the patients they serve.

Sincerely,
John Chiminski
Chair and CEO
