Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19)
Catalent is committed to the health and safety of its employees, visitors, and the customers and patients we serve. In light of the Coronavirus outbreak, we have put in place restrictions on access to our sites.
By entering this facility I affirm that:

Site visitor guidelines are dependent on local regulations as well as local pandemic status and are subject to change. Your site host will advise on any changes outside of this document prior to visit.
Key Eberbach Site Information
Our Eberbach, Germany facility is our biggest softgel development and manufacturing facility in Europe with capacity of 12.8 billion softgel capsules per year. It features integrated softgel manufacturing services including coating and packaging simplify supply chain management and deliver products faster to market. The facility can handle highly potent and cytotoxic compound with our self-contained, separated cytotoxic suite. Within the Catalent Pharma and Consumer Health (PCH) network, we offer a broad range of integrated formulation and analytical services to solve your most difficult development and manufacturing challenges.

SECURITY
- Please park in visitor-designated parking areas.
- Please observe speed limits and stop signs while driving on the premises and yield to pedestrians.
- All vehicles and articles are subject to inspection. Under certain circumstances it may be necessary to check incoming and outgoing vehicles or objects carried.
- All visitors are to be picked up at the reception/entrance area by their contact person and are to be escorted back there at the end of the visit. Furthermore, you are to be accompanied at all times during your stay at Catalent. Independent access to restricted areas like e.g. production and storage areas, laboratories, etc. is not permitted.
- Usage of photo, video and voice recording devices is not allowed on the site without prior authorization from site management.
- All weapons and prohibited items are strictly prohibited within the Catalent site.
- All persons visiting the site must be pre-registered by the host or register at the front desk or security desk by providing a formal government issued ID.
- Visitors have to wear a name tag or contractor badge at all times while on site.
- Any security incidents or security-relevant findings must be reported immediately to the respective Catalent contact person.
SAFETY & EMERGENCY
- You will be provided with personal protective gowning requirements relevant to the areas visited during your stay. Jewelry will need to be removed prior to entering GMP Production areas.
- In the event of a fire emergency, a long continuous alarm will sound. Your Catalent host or a member of the fire brigade team will escort you to the nearest exit door and accompanies you to the assembly point.
- Accident or Injury – If you have an accident or feel ill, inform your host who will arrange for first aid.
- In case of emergency call 2555 from every internal phone.
GOOD MANUFACTURING PRACTICES (GMP)
- The Pharmaceutical facility adheres to regulatory requirements under Federal Law for Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Visitors are accompanied at all times within the facility. If your visit includes a facility tour ensure you bring closed toed, flat shoes. You will be provided with personal protective gowning requirements relevant to the areas visited during your stay. Jewelry will need to be removed prior to entering GMP manufacturing areas. - The Eberbach facility employee hosting the visitor(s) on the manufacturing floor must instruct the visitor(s) upon entering the manufacturing area that they are not to touch any product and/or equipment without receiving approval by the host.
- Gowning Procedure for the Captive Production Areas for gowning practices, as indicated by their Host, except during planned shutdown. This includes the following:
- Hair covering.
- Facial hair must be covered with a beard cover.
- Safety glasses and hearing protectors must be worn in designated areas of the plant.
- As far as jewelry, only wedding bands without stones are permitted in the manufacturing areas. Bracelets, necklaces, watches, earrings and pins are not permitted.
- Also, pants are preferred as you will be gowning up into a production suit.
- As a general guideline, it is prohibited to take any objects into the manufacturing area.
SIGNS & WARNINGS
- Please be aware of displayed warning/personal protection signs and adhere to instruction issued by Catalent staff.
- Follow all posted signage relating to COVID-19, i.e. wearing masks, social-distancing, handwashing, etc.
- Do not enter restricted areas or touch any product, materials, machinery controls or equipment, unless authorized to do so by a Catalent employee.
- Stay clear of vehicle doorways and watch at all times for moving vehicles.
IT
- Catalent offers wireless internet access for our guests. Your host will provide you with a password for internet access during your visit.
- Catalent provides guest printing services. For assistance, please contact your host.
