High Potency Containment from Early Phase to Commercial Scale Micronization
Summary: As the development of highly potent molecules becomes more prevalent in the small molecule R&D pipeline, there are numerous challenges associated with process development, formulation and delivery. Despite the availability of multiple technologies to improve the characteristics and efficacy of new molecules, micronization remains an important engineering step for many highly potent molecules to help improve the solubility of oral drugs. In this presentation, our Catalent expert will provide an overview of the different particle size reduction technologies. In addition, our expert will discuss the approach of enabling micronization of potent and highly potent compounds across the different stages of oral drug development as well as containment capability across the global sites.
